Wuzhen (Hangzhou)
Wuzhen is an old water village with its building located around a canal. These original buildings give a very good insight into the people's life back then. There are a pharmacy, a dyeing mill, a distillery and some exhibitions. A boat trip on the canal is also possible.
The worst about this open-air museum are not the tourists but their guides. They inform their groups with microphone and loudspeaker about the exhibitions and objects on display without regard of other groups. And every tourist guide seems to be in competition with the others in terms of making the loudest announcements.
