Dead Sea

The famous Dead Sea, located between West Bank and Jordan, is a dying sea because the water inflow by the Jordan River is lower as the amount of water that evaporates. That is one of the reasons why the water level drops every year by about one metre.
Plans to convey sea water from the Red Sea into the Dead Sea are being evaluated although it seems to be very expensive and, from an environmental point of view at, least questionable.
