Impressions from the Altiplano and Lago Titicaca

If you have some time use it to see the Altiplano in its whole beauty. There are enough plateaus, mountains, lama flocks, and lakes (and the Lagunilla lake in particular) near Chivay which you should see with your own eyes.

The climate in Puno near the Titicaca Lake is also something special: it is so cold in the morning that even the lake's water freezes but you are barly wearing more than a t-shirt three hours later.

Visiting one of the Uros' floating islands is one of the attractions this area has to offer and staying over night at Taquile is also something special you will not forget for a while.

Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna are located in Bolivia and you have to cross the border to get there.
