Into Colca Canyon to Cruz del Condor

There isn't so much to say about Cruz del Condor. If the thermal lift is good and you are not there in Winter, you will have good chances to see a condor.

Strangely enough they don't seem to be very shy as they fly very closely over the heads of the tourists.

We had plenty of stopovers on our tour in small villages where Maca was definitely standing out. You should visit the church to understand why.

You can also see steep faces in which are tombs located. Some of them are still untouched and have not yet become the victims of plundering tomb raiders.

The Valle del Colca was the so-called corn chamber during the Inca period. And still today are the terraces used to grow various kinds of crops although some of the terraces are decaying.
